Hi, I’m Mimi, a new breast cancer survivor, standing confidently in my glow. I'm on a journey of creating from a place that feels instinctively naturally filled with love, hope, and quiet courage. With the support, unconditional love, and encouragement of my husband, I know I am able to encourage, mentor and give back to others.

An ode to my loved ones and a bit about the past two years of my life.

To all of the women that have flew in and out of my life and to the very few ladies who have stayed and been the most supportive friends I will most likely ever have. Love you.

In appreciation and love to my best friend Christine. The sister I never had, the yin to my yang. The most elegant lady who knows me better than I know myself and the one I ended up with on the beach, on hot summer night, dancing to the beat of our own drums. With no sense of time, all of the wonder, thinking about and talking to each other about which boy we like the most. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and to the moon and back again.

To Brenda, Kara, Leslie, and Kathy - you all fed my husband, were there for me as no friends could ever be. Taking me to infusions, both chemo and for electrolytes that went haywire. After each of the main breast recon surgeries, you were my saving grace. You sat with me for hours (entire days) and watched me suffer, let me cry on your shoulders, watched me sleep and so much more. Physically and in every other way you were all there for me and my family, taking care of us. I'll forever be thankful, and I love you all.

Back to my infamous husband. He pushed and pulled me out of life during breast cancer treatment and thereafter. He made it possible when I had no hope of the possibility of living through it all. He was with me for every single onco and surgeon's visits. He would not leave my side. How was I so blessed with a hunk of a hunk like him?

Finally, a hug and a kiss to my kiddos and babies. It wouldn't be life without you. You had been there for everything with me. I have grown up with you. I will always treasure it and you all.

And this you will remember, when I die, I will haunt you all making fun of you always. Just a little pay it forward!
